“Does my child really need a lawyer?”
If your teenager has been charged with a crime, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that many juvenile offenses result in a disposition that will not have long-term consequences for your child when he or she becomes an adult. The bad news is that colleges and universities still want to know about juvenile court charges, and there are some circumstances when findings of guilt CAN follow your son or daughter into adulthood. Often, the question is not whether the teenager is guilty or not guilty — the question is what will happen. Juvenile detention? Community service? Juvenile probation? Counseling? The disposition is crucial.
We have been working in juvenile courts for more than 30 years, and we can help your child.
